6-7 Months

6-7 months has been such a fun time with these boys!  Carson and Cole's personalities are really starting to show and they are starting to interact more with each other as well as mom and dad.  The boys have come to love spending time in their jumperoos watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse or the dogs running around!  They have started reaching out more for their toys hanging on the jumperoos. They have also started reaching out for the dogs when they walk by.  They also love watching Brad play with the dogs outside.  On February 1st, it was actually 61 degrees! So we dressed the boys in their super cute animal jackets and let them play outside in their jumperoos and watch the dogs run in the yard and play ball with Brad.  Carson and Cole just loved this time and were full of smiles and laughter!  We also took the boys out for a ride in the stroller around our neighborhood.  This was such a fun time with the boys it made us long for warm summer days when we can do this every afternoon:)

The boys have grown so much! At their 6 month appointment Carson weighed 19lbs and was 26 1/2"! Cole weighed 19.3lbs and 27"!  They have grown so much we had to raise their jumperoos to the second height adjustment!!  We have noticed their reflux has improved...thank goodness! So the pediatrician decided to starting decreasing their medications to once a day.  This is a huge improvement as we felt like we were having to give the boys medicine all day long before:(  It is so nice to see the boys feeling more and more comfortable after eating.  We have also noticed that the boys are responding to their names when they are spoken.
6-7 months has been a fun time of experimenting with new foods!  First, I cooked sweet potatoes for them to try. Then, they tried green beans followed by applesauce.  They loved the sweet potatoes! They both liked green beans pretty well and applesauce was so-so.  So, we tried bananas and mangos for breakfast.  Bananas were an instant hit, but mangos were a definite no!  It has been fun trying new foods and seeing what they like and don't like.

At the end of January, the boys started sleeping better at night.  Most nights they started sleeping 8:30pm-6:30am.  This went on for several nights and we thought we were finally heading in the right direction with their sleep.  But, by early February, Carson and Cole started waking up overnight again and ending up in our bed with us :/
We had a few things to celebrate during this time.  First, we went to cousin Laney's 1st birthday party.  It was fun to watch Laney experience her first birthday.  She got so many good gifts for her birthday.  Second, we got to celebrate the boys' first Valentine's Day.  I got some cute bibs for the boys to wear and one of Brad's employees got the boys some Valentine's onesies.
